The 2021 Christmas holiday period extends from Thursday, December 23 at 6:00 pm to Sunday, December 26, at 11:59 pm. During that time, the National Safety Council (NSC) estimates that approximately 371 people will die in traffic-related accidents.

They estimate with a 90% confidence interval that 35,900 to 49,100 people will receive an injury requiring a medical consult from car crashes over the holiday.
